Notes:
The new executive regulations of the Federal Traffic and Road Law have introduced significant amendments to the procedures for issuing and renewing driving licenses in the UAE. The renewed driving license is now valid for 10 years for citizens and 5 years for residents. The initial validity of a new driving license, issued for the first time, is set at two years.
The age requirements for obtaining a driving license vary based on the type of vehicle:
• The applicant must be 17 years old for motorcycle licenses and licenses for vehicles used by persons with disabilities.
• 18 years old for car licenses.
• 20 years old for heavy vehicle licenses.
• 21 years old for bus licenses.
It's essential to be aware of these changes and adhere to the specific age requirements for each type of driving license.
