Ajman Port and Customs Department is a government entity under Ajman Government that was restructured by the Amiri Decree #15 of 2011 on December 6, 2011. Ajman Port and Customs Department is tasked with regulating the maritime transport sector in the Emirate of Ajman. The Department is tasked with implementing the 2002 GCC Common Customs Law and its executive provisions, regulations, rules, and applied local legislation related to Customs and Maritime. The Port of Ajman includes the land and sea area that is used by ships and other marine vessels to dock, to load or unload cargo or passengers in any of the following areas, such as the harbour, the docks, the waterways, areas of storage, and any other facilities, buildings, and fixed structures under the authority and supervision of Ajman Ports.
