The center was inaugurated in July 2011 to be a major shift in the provision of preventive medicine services in the Emirate of Ajman. The services provided by the center include the medical examination of expats, the issuance of medical fitness certificates to those concerned, as well as vaccination services, which includes vaccination of labourers and domestic workers, vaccination of pilgrims, as well as international vaccinations.
