Home-schooling and elderly education
The UAE, in general, and the Emirate of Ajman, in particular, pay great attention to the education sector, being a main pillar for the development and prosperity of nations and the welfare of people. The wise leadership has developed strategic plans aimed at building an educational system based on modernity and continuous development. For this purpose, the Ministry of Education has taken many steps to improve the level of education, the most important of which is the paid attention to adult education, as well as home-schooling.
Admission of students in adult education centres and home-schooling includes those who have exceeded the age limit for admission to public and private education. The target groups in adult education include all levels of schooling, while the home-schooling is limited to grades 7 through 12. The registration process is also defined according to the criteria of granting registration priority to the successfully passed students from the previous school year, and then the newcomers.
The Ministry of Education takes into account the new strategy that aims at simplifying the student registration procedures, by announcing the possibility of electronic registration through the system using Emirates ID cards. It also aims at improving the outcomes of the education process, addressing the weaknesses, and graduating students who are able to competently join the workforce.
